Alloys

VIC-HAOMEI produces alloys with a high metallurgical content to make the most of the potential of each of the alloys and create a metal that meets the needs of different industrial sectors.

  • Silicon improves castability and reduces the expansion coefficient
  • Magnesium increases resistance to corrosion in an alkaline environment and at sea
  • Manganese increases mechanical and corrosion resistance
  • Copper increases mechanical strength, especially when hot
  • Zinc especially if used in association with magnesium, gives a high mechanical strength

Serie 2xxx - AVIONAL
(Aluminum - Copper)

The series is characterised by good machinability, high mechanical resistance (similar to that of carbon steels). It has low corrosion resistance.

Applications: They are used for parts and structures that require high strength / weight ratios (aircraft wheels and land transport vehicles, aeronautical structures, automotive suspensions) for operating temperatures up to about 150 °C. Products for turning, molds for plastics, military vehicles.

Serie 6XXX - ANTICORODAL
(Aluminum - Silicon - Magnesium)

The series has good mechanical strength, relatively low sensitivity to hardening, high resistance to corrosion. Good formability, workability, machinability and weldability. With heat treatment, alloys develop intermediate mechanical characteristics, but lower than those of the 2xxx series alloys.

Applications: Structures that require good corrosion resistance. Photovoltaics, doors and windows, blinds, electrical appliances, road signs, transport, molding materials, etc.
