The new JING MEI plant, set up on an area of 2,000,000 m², is part of a three-year expansion project. The first third of the 9 sectors has recently been completed and is fully functional. A modern foundry produces numerous billets in aluminum alloys such as 6026, 6026LF, 6082, 2007, 2075, 2011, 2017A, 2024, 2033LF, 7020, 7003, 7005, 7046, 7075, and at present it reaches a capacity of 200,000 t. Equipped with ultrasonic controls, it is able to monitor each billet to maintain the excellent quality standards required by the automotive market. Inside the plant there are direct and indirect presses, which guarantee a complete range of bars and tubes up to 320 mm in diameter with lengths of 3,000 / 4,000 / 5,000 / 6,000 mm.
Every single billet is tested in an ultrasonic immersion tank which verifies any cracks and internal defects. Each extruded bar is controlled by the laboratory to guarantee the rigorous EN mechanical properties.
THE INDUSTRIAL PARK
The new JING MEI plant, sited on an area of 2,000,000 m² is part of a three-year project. By the end of 2019, 50% of the site will be completed and operational as planned.
FOUNDARY
A modern, technologically advanced foundry continuously produces billets the alloys 6026, 6026LF, 6082, 2007, 2075, 2011, 2017A, 2024, 2033LF, 7003, 7005, 7020, 7046, 7075, with a capacity of 200,000 tons per year, while an ultrasonic system checks each billet to maintain the high quality standards of excellence required by the automotive market.
PROFILES EXTRUSION
Within the sectors currently completed, there are:
- 1 direct press of 6000 t
- 2 direct presses of 2500 t
- 1 direct press of 2000 t
- 1 direct press of 1450 t
- 1 direct press of 10.000 t
- 1 INDIRECT press from 3150 t
- 1 INDIRECT 2000 t press
which allow the extrusion of solid profiles and tubes in hard alloys up to 320 mm in diameter in lengths ranging from 3000 mm to 6000 mm.
Each single extruded bar is ultrasonically controlled and individual samples are tested in the laboratory to verify that the mechanical properties are in line with the EN standards. The analysed samples are then cataloged for traceability purposes according to the regulations in force.
DRAWING
Three drawing lines have recently been installed to meet growing market demand. At the moment we produce round bars with diameters from 6mm up to 70mm. With chamfering on one or both sides.
